When we moved our furniture last year, not all of it arrived. The mover (local) had underestimated the size of the truck but then the snow started and next thing you know we had to wait until spring to get the last shipment which include our dining table leaves Not having the ability to extend the table was a real pain though the Professor put together a decent substitute as long as it was covered with a table cloth and you didn't lean on it real hard. So here it is with only one leaf - I pulled out a Provence tablecloth and dressed it with flowers ($5 from WalMart) and doesn't it look great on a nice spring day? We received about 15 more boxes though what is in them, I can't really say. Mainly because I don't remember. Nothing else really stuck in my mind beyond a few birdhouses which means I probably don't need all the décor items I've amassed over the years - sounds like a yard sale is in my future!
A lot going on now that we are back from our travels. I had to go to the east coast for business and the Professor came along - we are gone for ten days and even though it was for work, we had a great time. Stayed with friends who were the best host and hostess ever! Naturals for B&B owners, but I think their thoughts are more along the lines of drinking Mango Tangos under a beach umbrella somewhere warm.
One we were home the Professor turned his efforts to finishing the basement - We'll have family coming to visit soon and I wanted at least a bedroom and bath completed otherwise it could be chaos. I'm keeping my fingers crossed - it will be close. Pics to follow
